The Honourable Minister of State for Affairs and Poverty Reduction delivered a keynote address at a high-level summit focused on the National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
The summit brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from government agencies, development partners, civil society organizations, and educational institutions. The gathering provided a platform for in-depth discussions on the programme’s achievements, current challenges and strategic direction moving forward.
In his keynote, the Minister explain how the programme’s has critical role in boosting school enrollment, enhancing children’s nutrition, and driving local economic growth by engaging local farmers and caterers. He reaffirmed the Federal Government’s steadfast commitment to strengthening the initiative as a key tool in the fight against hunger, malnutrition and poverty.
