Headline: Day 1 | PBAT FEEDS “Snacks for Thought” Pilot Initiative
Theme: The Future Starts Now
A beautiful start to the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme’s pilot breakfast initiative — PBAT FEEDS “Snacks for Thought.”
Led by Dr. Princess Aderemi F. Adebowale, National Programme Manager, RH-HGSFP, the 5-day pilot kicked off successfully in Kano State, feeding 10,000 children for 5 days across Early Years to Primary 3 in six public schools:
• Magwan Science & Technical Model Primary School
• Ganduje Nomadic Primary School, Dawakin Tofa
• Kofar Nassarawa Special Primary School
• Kofar Nassarawa Model Primary School
• Sumaila Special Primary School
• Elrazi Quaranic School
Children enjoyed nutritious meals — Pap and Beans Cake (Akara) for breakfast and Rice and Beans with Egg for lunch — while also receiving tables, chairs, Android tablets, learning materials, crayons, rulers, school bags, and water bottles, combining nourishment with learning support.
This initiative embodies the Renewed Hope Agenda of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), and the commitment of His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, towards building healthier, smarter, and better-nourished learners. Gratitude to all partners whose collaboration made today’s success possible, The Presidency (Pre-CEFI), NSIPA, RH-NHGSFP, TechnoServe, Smallholder Farmers, High Tech Global, Meena, Silvex, Marshall Biscuits, Tornado, JMZ-01 Exim, Bifsam Foods, and the Kano State Government.
Every bite builds a brighter tomorrow.
